    <description>&lt;P&gt;Why does the patch workspace sweep fail if it doesn't like the planes you've used? As it's a 2d patch the sketch plane direction shouldn't matter. See screencast. Sometimes it will sweep one line along the second line but if you reverse the selection it fails! Surly I should be able to sketch an L shape on a single plane\sketch and sweep one along the other.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Yeah, this is weird. I found that it won't sweep if the line is created on the ZY plane.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/6829695"&gt;@karina.harper&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; Watching the screencast I realised the profile curve needs to be on a plane that is perpendicular to the path. So when drawing the profile you're looking straight down the path. This makes sense for the solid version of sweep but not for the surface patch version.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Here the path is on the XY plane and the profile lines on the XZ and sweep works. If you draw the profile lines on the XY or YZ planes it will fail.&lt;/P&gt;
