@Anonymous - when your sculpt body goes into that block-mode type display, it usually indicates an error in the body somehow. Sometimes, running Repair Body under the Utilities menu can point out problems. If this is happening with Weld, most likely it is some kind of topology error - unwelded vertices, etc. Unfortunately, without a model to look at, it's hard to provide specific guidance on how to repair or avoid these problems.

Why Weld results in "block" shaped forms??

Hi, in general, I've ran into an issue over and over again under Sculpt where I'm trying to weld two vertices and 9/10 times it will turn both T-spline forms involved into "block" shaped forms. Like I accidentally hit the keys to view the model/s in actual Block Mode...but I'm not. I don't have a particular model in mind, I've seen it over and over again and wanna know what's triggering this to happen. I've looked in all the instructional stuff and online videos...nothing. I can't upload a link until Monday for a particular model with this happening. Was hoping someone on here had experienced this before and knows what's causing it, or if it's common knowledge I've missed out on. Id appreciate any help/advice, thx

Hi, I appreciate u taking the time to give me some info on this. Doesn't look like I'm gonna be working on it anytime soon: my Gigabyte Aero-15x. has died on me and I'm warning anyone thinking of buying their laptops to think twice. Mine is fully within the waranty period and I can't even get em to respond to my emails for support. So...looks like I'm gonna be getting another brand laptop hopefully this week.
