Betreff,

Thanks for the quick reply. I really appreciate it.

I didn't know that you can only color bodies; so, knowing that now is a big help. Attached is a body for testing, a simple rectangle that has been stretched. I was able to apply color to it, red, but only in one view (of four).

I'll bet that you quickly know what's going on. Looking forward to hearing from you again.n.

New to Fusion 360, and cannot get it to color components. I click a component, a rectangle, then Modify, then Appearance, Paint, Glossy, Paint - Enamel Glossy (Green) and drag the green icon to the component and release, but nothing happens. I've changed and unchanged various settings (Inspect, Color Cycle Toggling; Component Color Swatch; Display Setting, Visual Style: changed from Wireframe to Shaded; and, component opacities (set to 100%). But, I still cannot color any components. Color swatches do show up in the browse window though for each component.

Sure will appreciate someone telling me what I'm need to do.

Hi Fred,

can you attach a screenshot to the next post?
1. You write rectangle > sketch elements cannot be colored (only bodies and areas).

2. Do you mean this?

This is only for the organization and better differentiability in browser and timeline.

regards

This is because the visual style is set per viewport display. Simply change it here:
