I want to download Fusion 360 for use as a hobby. However when I go to https://www.autodesk.com/campaigns/fusion-360-for-hobbyists that page tells me that I do not qualify:

Unfortunately that's all it says. Why do I not qualify? What do I do to qualify? I used Fusion with this account for a few years on a different laptop, how did I qualify there?

Thanks for your reply Karina.

When I follow that article and visit the Autodesk Management Page all I see is the Storage product. Fusion 360 is not listed.

When I follow that article and click the "Free Trial" link https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview#banner I see two buttons, "Subscribe" and "Download Free Trial." The latter leads me to https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/free-trial. If I'm being reasonable and click "Non-commercial use" I end up on that same page I started my question with, https://www.autodesk.com/campaigns/fusion-360-for-hobbyists which states that I do not qualify.

If I'm being unreasonable and click "Commercial use" the site asks me about my company which I don't have.

As a result I'm still unable to download Fusion.

Hi Karina,

Thank you for escalating my case. I got contacted by Autodesk support who provided me with a direct link to the Fusion installer. I was able to successfully activate my hobby license after downloading.

I couldn't download the trial version via Autodesk site because the non-commercial page wouldn't let me, and I didn't want to fake my company or my educator status to download the commercial/education version. I couldn't find any other download options on the site.

While my case was successfully resolved I still think it was a site glitch/oversight which may affect other people. Ideally it should be escalated to the site development team.

I have the same problem. I now have a new computer and wanted to download Fusion 360 but, as with the OP, it tells me I'm not qualified yet it gives me no method to qualify.

It's been awhile and I don't remember exactly what steps I ended up doing but I do recall that I had to contact Support directly and they sorted it out. I don't believe there is just a link that you can click on. Maybe they want to make sure you are who you say you are? Good luck.
