Hi,

Is there a way to limit the CPU usage while doing in-canvas rendering? When I do in-canvas rendering for any model, the CPU usage goes to 100% which makes it extremely difficult to use other applications. I have an HP 15-au620TX notebook with 2GB Nvidia Graphics Card.

Regards,

<STRIKE>I'm using an old laptop (Lenovo T520 - i7-2720QM Quad Core) with a NVIDIA NVS 4200M (1GB VRAM) and I can feel what you're talking about. I'm not limiting the CPU usage, but I limit how much calculation is done in the canvas because most of the time I just want to have an indication for the lightning setup. </STRIKE>

Ignore this post - next one is more relevant

I'm using an old laptop (Lenovo T520 - i7-2720QM Quad Core) with a NVIDIA NVS 4200M (1GB VRAM) and I can feel what you're talking about. You can reduce the resolution in the settings

If the in canvas rendering is active you can limit how long the calculation runs by using the dialog in the bottom right of the canvas.

And this is a good thing for your CPU
