My Fusion 360 assembly is persistently crashing. After trying to solve this for a week, identified the linked component in my very large and complex assembly, which crashes my Fusion 360 as soon as I hover my mouse over it.

When I open the problematic component, I see that, firstly, it's tiny, and secondly, it's something I downloaded off GrabCAD.

I cannot delete this component in my main assembly, as it crashes immediately.

I cannot delete it from my folders since it's used in my assembly model.

I cannot delete the problem body inside the problem component without Fusion crashing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous

Can you share the model using a public link from your online hub?

I can have a look and see if I can get it out of there.

Cheers,

Hi Karina

I actually solved this problem:

After multiple trial and errors, I eventually created a new body directly in the corrupt component. As soon as I made this random cube body, the corrupt body "came to it's senses" and I was able to delete the corrupt body.

Then I had to update the "out of date" [corrupt] component i nmy assembly. Once it was update without the corrupt body, I was able to delete it out of my assembly.

I've had zero crashes since.

I do have some "implicit Joint" warnings I cannot get rid of... 🙂 Should I start a new thread and share this with you? It appears this is a known bug.
