well the error popped up right after i added the joint at the very front of the trailer. i dunno if that explains anything

Right click the yellow Extrude icon, > Review Warning,

you might get a clue.

Can you File -> Export and share your design? One guess might be that you've moved bodies what most likely messes up your project at some point.
