The tutorial I'm following is here:

https://f360ap.autodesk.com/courses/introduction-to-3d-modeling/lessons/lesson-17-direct-modeling-imported-3d-cad-models

Theres file you can download. The video shows the saw casing in green and with some textures. On my display it's only the standard grey. What is wrong? Screenshot of my screen.

I think you dont understand my question. Did you download the part file from the tutorial and does it show up grey on your screen or does it show up with the colors and textures like the video?

Just wondering if someone from the forum could go to the link, download the tutorial cad file, and see if it opens with the colors and textures shown in the video?

I have tried the right click-> appearance and it does not solve the problem. I cannot drag the already configured appearance onto the part. However, when I assign a new appearance (i.e. ABS Plastic - White) it will assign that appearance to the part. Something with the appearance that is configured in the tutorial file is not working for me. I'm wondering if others have the same problem?

Yep, Did that, at the time the model loads, it arrives the same colour as your model, but almost immediately (seconds) it then updates to the correct colours, like the program takes two steps to load, the model as default, then applies the colour texture in a second stage.

Might help....

First, thanks for trying to help me. My model never updates, it just stays grey. Where it's running it doesn't have access to the internet, and it's on a Mac. Does your F360 have internet access, and are you Win or Mac?

well given your input that you had internet connectivity, i turned on the internet connection for the program. I closed/reopened it and now the appearance which is supposed to be attached to the model is there! I think it automatically installed an update, I'm not sure. I have no idea what it did, actually, but turning the internet on seemed to work. I tested it again with the internet off and I still get the applied appearances.
