After watching some of the linked you-tube for woodworking, it seems both ways are used. I did see Rule #1 which says to always use components and that started me questioning other processes. So, I have used bodies without any identified issue to me yet.

I am using 360 for woodworking design and CAM. I'm not sure when extruding from a sketch whether to use component or body. Or what will be the later issues or restrictions. I created a sketch for an example, 5 areas that I would extrude and then machine on a CNC using 360 CAM. (also an annoying "point" showed up in the sketch I can't figure out) Basic 2D machining.

https://a360.co/2FxzU36

Hi,

If you want to have material lists in the drawing, this is only possible with components.

günther
