When I want to create a new sheet metal component in a design I can do everything as normal including selecting an appropriate sheet metal rule. when I 'flange' the first simple sketch the browser shows the sheet metal rule and shows a new body has been created as a sheet metal part. However, the body is not visible!

Everything in the browser looks normal and highlighting the body in the browser and selecting 'find in window' zooms in on the sketch. when the sketch is hidden there is nothing there!

I can follow the exact same procedure in a new design without problems but also discovered that I can't create a second sheet metal body using a different rule. whatever rule I select for the second body, the part reverts to using the rule for the first body.

Hi,

unfortunately you can not see enough from the representation what happens with you.

If the primary component has already been defined as a sheet metal part, a 2-sheet metal component is no longer possible.
But there is still a solution.

Please upload* the file.

günther

*File > export > save as f3d locally > attach it to the next post.

Because F3d is not an option anymore for local export I have tried replying with the F3z file attached but the posting fails.

Gosh, I'm having a bad night! Solved this one myself. I had left the design with an active section view and the solid was outside of that cut-off. Sorry for any inconvenience!
