topic Why is the app installed into Library instead of Applications on Mac? in Fusion Support Forum

My absolute worst complaint about Fusion 360 is that if I try to use Spotlight to open the app, the only thing named Fusion 360 in the search is "Remove Autodesk Fusion 360." So, you can install the remove script into /Applications, but not the main application? I have to run it with the dock shortcut which points into some directory under ~/Library. This is the only application I have to start from the dock.

This seems like an unprofessional, unfinished fundamental detail for what the most expensive application I have installed on my laptop. Fusion 360 is not installed like literally every other application I've ever used on a Mac. What's the dealio? Will it ever be fixed?

Cheers.
