Hi @marshray,

thanks for posting! I cannot reproduce the issue on my Windows machine, so I would like to ask you for the following:

Could you send a screenshot of the entire user interface with the incorrect display?

Which graphics card are you using (Question mark in the top right corner of the Fusion 360 UI -> Support and Diagnostics -> Graphics Diagnostics)?

Could you make sure that the used graphics card has the latest drivers installed? (Windows Start Menu -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters -> Right mouse click -> Update driver)?

Which monitor are you using?

Is it just one monitor or more?

If more, is Fusion 360 displayed on the primary monitor?

Is it a high resolution (4k or 5k) monitor?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Hi Paweł,

Thanks for taking a look at this. I've been a fan of Fusion 360 since the initial versions, but full screen mode has just never worked for me.

I tested with two different computers, three GPUs from two vendors, three displays (internal and external), and three resolutions. All of the tests were 'show only on' a single display, internal or external, but no 'duplicate' or 'extend desktop' was used. All tested combinations display the timeline incorrectly. Sometimes the top of the timeline
is cut off, sometimes it's just a gray area.

Fusion 360:
Version 2.0.6231, updated as of 2019-08-18

OS:
Windows 10 with updates as of 2019-08-18

Two notebook systems:

Alienware 15 R2 notebook with discrete GPU

Toshiba Tecra X40-D notebook

Three GPUs:

Intel HD Graphics 530 (Alienware 15 R2)

Nvidia GTX 970M (Alienware 15 R2)

Intel HD Graphics 620 (Toshiba Tecra X40-D)

Drivers:

Checked for display adapter updates as of 2019-08-18.
Only the 970M received an update, which did not resovle the problem

Three resolutions:

3840x2160 notebook built-in display native resolution - text scale 200%

3440x1440 external monitor native resolution - text scale 100%

1920x1080 explicitly set resolution on external display - text scale 100%

Below are posted some full screen images. More images, display settings, graphics diagnostics, etc. are in the attached zip.

Also: I found that the Ctrl+Shift+F key combination to enter full screen mode does not work after first opening the application. It appears that you have to click on some object inside the central display area before the key combination actually works. I can make a separate post for that if it helps.

I hope this info is helpful. Thanks!

- Marsh

Intel HD Graphics 530 - 3840x2160Nvidia GTX 970M - 3440x1440Intel HD Graphics 620 - 1920x1080
