Thank you for your attention. To keep it simple, I think that to separate the paddle and then reconnect where I need it would be the best.See pic. The paddle is now connected. I need to disconnect it ,along with the circular hub it is connected to, then hinge with a revolute back where it is now.

I am entirely confused by the 'timeline' feature, so perhaps you could refer me to some information on that also.

Grateful.

During my creation of the 'paddle', somehow the designation as Component B has disappeared. I now have the completed paddle, but it is now part of Component F. Is there a way to separate the paddle, without having to go back to square one?

If I do have to go back, will simple deletion of lines leave me a clean slate to begin again?

Thanks very much.

Frustrated!

We would likely need to see the file or pictures of it to see for sure. Really the name of the component here is not important as you can name them whatever you'd like. If the paddle bodies are in the wrong component you can move them.

I'm not sure what you mean by simple deletion of lines - you'd need to roll back the timeline or delete features to back the stages up. Again for the sake of the lesson on joining i'd not be very concerned as long as the resulted component and body structure is correct. The names of them are not imperative here.
