yes that is correct.

It seems to update if we just run the .exe by itself

It creates a new folder in c:\program files\Autodesk\webdeploy\8fc78....

but the Fusion360 desktop shortcut still points to the old folder

..webdeploy\6a0c.....

Is it supposed to change the shortcut too?

We are seeing "not responding" quite a lot when trying to run it

Interesting.... I believe thats what the BAT does vs the EXE is rebuild everything but obviously this is failing. Let me ask around on this.

In the interim, can you remove the old shortcut and create a new one? I'm worried that this may have put fusion back into the user profile by running the exe though. I can check into it.

Thanks,

Is that folder location correct valid on your machine? It seems right to me and we want global to be true, so that is good. If you use the launcher, does it work?

I just want to jump in and say I'm having a similar issue with the most recent version - I can install it from fresh but I cannot update a previous version.

I'm also using the education lab version and using the "Fusion 360 Admin Install.exe --process update" method but I get the WinError3 error and the installer suggests it can't find a file in local appdata. The installer is being run as admin and the previous couple of versions have worked fine using this same method.

We are actively working on identifying the issue - but in the interim the only fix I've found (as mentioned a few posts up) is to manually process the uninstall and reinstall Fusion for EDU labs.
