2D Drawings: How to define Keep-Out Areas?

Hi,

We have a milled part, which will be painted. Some areas need to be masked out. What is the best way, to indicate something like this in a 2D Drawing?

My suggestion is to use an un-consumed sketch in the model. Sketches can be shown in the drawing for a multiple of purposes and this is just one of them. Take a look at the screencast.

Please attach your model next time so the forum users do not have to create a model to answer your question plus you will get a more relevant answer using your model.
