Thats exactely what happened to me. It seems my antivirus put the .exe into quarantine so I had to restore it and add an exception.

Hello,

When I try to launch Fusion, a error message appears.

After reinstalling Fusion I can only launch it one time before the error appears again.

I've inspected the fusion files, I think the error is caused by the main .exe that... simply do not exist.

What can be causing this issue ?

Thanks, Alex.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Generally - if an exe goes missing, especially after a second launch, Anti-Virus is coming into play. Do you have any anti-virus on the computer. Have you seen this article on Configuring Anti-Virus for Fusion 360?

I have the same issue, but am getting an error saying 'FusionLauncher.exe.ini is missing or incomplete'. I cannot find such an ini file! This started yesterday, I opened Fusion and I got a message saying it was now updated and it promptly crashed. All the above solutions have not worked for me. I cannot un-install fusion because I get a message that the uninstaller is not available, and I can't re-install because it tells me that it is already at the latest version!

Hi guys. Today when l was in good mood and wanted to work a little bit on my personal project, but in the moment l started setting my second monitor, Fusion said there is an error and just closed. I was confused and tried to start the software multiple times, but with no success. And then l thought that maybe avast secure have sended another file, that ends with "exe", and l was right. The "threat" that my antivirus software has found is called "IDP.Generic" and i tried every single option, that is given to me, but nothing worked. I tried to restore it, nothing and i tried to restore it and add exception, nah, didnt work. Please, if somebody has found solution, please tell us what you did. I dont know if l should even try to restart the software, but for now i will wait for somebody to say something wise. I am getting sick of this thing, because i have spend so much effort in my projects and in the end it will be all lost time.

Same problem here. Was using Fusion 360 after it updated and restarted and out of the blue it was no longer on my screen. Tried starting it as an administrator even and got the same error. Uninstalled Avast (didn't keep it updated anyway) and still no dice. I'm not sure where to go to install Fusion on my computer again so I haven't uninstalled it yet. Really need Fusion 360 running as I have a lot of work to do...
