yes i have cut a part and that's what brought this to my attention, where there was supposed to be a nice .03" radius was some jagged looking edge, I've used these same tool paths in the past and they have run flawlessly but for some odd reason now its eliminating those radius'. Thanks for all your help I'm going to look into whether or not someone messed with settings on the lathe

since the update earlier this week my tool paths seem to be cutting straight through any radius on the solid models and i can't seem to figure out why

If you mean where the red arrow is in the picture below, it's because of the tool tip radius. From the image below I'd say you're using in computer compensation and the tool is set up as tip tangent in the library. Pretty sure nothing here has changed, is it just the tool you're using has a bigger rad making it more noticable? Have you got any designs you can share?

Also please don't attach pictures. There's an option Photos on the editor toolbar to embed them, please use this option.

What you're seeing there is correct for the settings you're using. Here's a screengrab that shows the toolpath is at the tip tangent point and the tool is offset by the radius of the tip.

Have you tried cutting the part? As long as you've set the tool up on the lathe the same and the lathe is not applying any compensation the profile on the part will be correct. If you have toolpaths in an old design that are different double check the tool setup and the compensation setting in the op. Although I'm pretty sure roughing is always done with in computer compensation.

What lathe are you using? One of my lathes has a prototrak control and you have to set the tip radius to zero in the lathe tool table because it tries to add compensation all the time.
