Constraints to sub-assemblies failing

I am creating a large number of assemblies which contain sub-assemblies.

The sub-assembies are all essentially identical, but with some component dimensions changed. After the first sub assembly was created, subsequent sub-assemblies and their components were created using 'save as and replace'.

When I replace a sub-assembly (in the top level assembly) with any of the 'cloned' sub-assemblies, all constraints to that sub-assembly become disassociated and have to be manually re-associated.

This issue is the difference between the 5 minutes it should take to create a new toplevel assembly and about 30 minutes it is taking to re-associate the broken constraints.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug that needs fixing?

You need to attach a example of a typical sub-assembly that is failing in order for the Forum to try and help you out.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Hi John and thanks for responding.

The CAD data is proprietary to my customer, so I don't wnt to post it to a public forum.

Is there any way I can send it to you directly, such as sharing a link to it with you only?
