This interaction exists in other commands as well: Move, for example. I understand the concern, but for now, this is how it works. I'll bring it up with the sketch team to get their take on this. The main way to work around it is to turn off sketches you don't want to modify.

When editing a sketch and using the scale function, you have to select what you want it to apply to.
Il appears that the selection tool will also pick up other sketch objects in the background and resize them as well, which is pretty bad as it can completly mess up a work in progress.

By the way, having the option to resize in one choosable direction would be nice.

a) Are you using scale ore sketch scale?

b) Are you using projections (reference points from other sketches?

c) Why are you using scale at all? Isn't it possible to simple edit the dimensions?

In sketch mode, I use sketch scale. Is there another function ?

Using reference points from other geometries or not gives the same bug.

At firts I thought I had been in 3d sketch but tryed it carrefully and that isn't the Problem either.

I didn't make screecast as it is very simple to draw 2 (or more) skechs on different planes and use the scale function.

I use sketch scale because it is there to do what it should...

On a complexe sketch if i change all the dimensions by hand, (filets and all) it is a pain especially as "constraints were remove during that opreration" tends to pup up more often than I think it should.

Hi,

1. please create a screencast because otherwise we won't be able to see how it is done and share your design to take a look at it.
2. for me only sketches are scaled if they are imported as dxf or svg graphics.

Own designs are made in 1:1.

günther
