How to check the number of polygon edges in an existing sketch?

Measure, properties ? How ?

Hi,

To my knowledge, there is currently no way to edit a polygon, neither diameter nor number of elements

However, there are entries in the Idea Station.

At this time I don't need to edit the polygon.
It would only be useful to check the number of edges.
For example, to make a pattern in the corners when I do not remember the construction of the polygon in the old sketch. (100, 123 corners ... etc edges).
Do I count it "manually"?

Hi,

I mentioned the edit mode, because you can read the current values there.
My tip for large quantities of edges:
Create 2 lines to an edge element and measure the included angle. Maybe you can also do this with the measure tool under inspect.
Then calculate the quantity of edges > 360 / measured value = quantity.

Yes, count ti manually.

Roughly how many edges are you looking at ?

yes that's a good idea.

However, this is a mathematical solution.
It will not work for edge length e.g. 4.2343234 ... mm and number 34567 edges

It would be pretty unwise to create a polygon with 34567 edges in a sketch, ore even (much) worse importing it as a DXF or SVG.

Yes, this is work from scratch.
I see that at the moment there is no tool for reading the features of polygons. And this is the end of this thread, unfortunately.

Here's a workaround, start the Move command in the sketch then double click on a segment, this selects the whole chain and the move dialog will tell you how many segments.
