Hi all,

I was wondering if there is anything I am doing wrong with this mirror op.

I am going to add some screenshots for description.

As you can see Object (1) is selected, then Plane from Component is selected (2). But mirror (4) is created using original origin (3) for some reason I can't figure out.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks/

The problem is caused by the capture position near the end of the timeline, not quite sure why. @jeff_strater is this expected?

Also why did you move the part at that point, deleting the capture makes the mirror work as expected and doesn't seem to affect the design. Also noticed running a Compute All makes one of the extrudes give a warning.

One more tip, after inserting a component and positioning with a joint you can delete the capture position in the timeline. Capture positions can use up a lot of resources, better to use a joint.

The part gets mirrored to the right place.

Thanks.

Best/

Hi Mark,

You are right, I think I went and copied and pasted the roller, as it was not a component and could not do an assembly... My fault there.

About the compute error, for some reason the equation I used to keep the grub screw in place has inverted and not the screw is out of the solid... (see attachement)

Thank you very much for your tips.

Best/
