Hi, I opened Fusion 360 on 24/10/2019, I presented with a banner informing me that I had the latest update, I deleted this, under it there was another banner saying that I need to update my license. I completed this for personal use, I then went back to Fusion 360 but I am unable to see the Sketch menu. I select Sketch drawing then select the plane, but no Sketch menu appears. I have attached an MP4 of this. I have uninstalled then reinstalled Fusion to no avail.

A few people have reported this problem. For some closing and restarting fusion a few times has fixed it. It might also be worth rebooting your computer.

I have the exact same problem on Mac OS 10.15. After the new update I have no sketch menu even after creating a sketch and choosing a plane. Upon this I have restarted both my computer and Fusion several times also followed by clearing cache data and uninstalling/reinstalling Fusion with the Fusion Remover. Still no difference. I cannot use the software without the sketch menu. The so called "solutions" don't work either.

@Anonymous Try using a sketch command like "line" via the right click menu (if you use Tinkercad nav, use shift+right click). Alternately, try using sketch tools via the S-key toolbox. Other users report that this returns all the sketch tools to the toolbar.

Thanks for reporting, we obviously need to work on this some more if it keeps returning after updates.

Just a shot in the dark here, but do you have any addins running when you start Fusion? I notice the makerbot app popping up on your dock.

If you can provide diagnostic logs, please do that first, and then try disabling all add-ins so they don't start with Fusion. Then restart Fusion and see what happens. If you don't have addins, the alternate is to uninstall makerbot or anything that runs along with Fusion, such as screencast. Then restart Fusion and see what happens.

@Anonymous thanks for the details.

At this time there is not a known issue of the sketch menu not appearing. I know you think someone posted an image of it above, but I want at this time to ensure we are discussing the correct bug.

This is the original post, does this happen to you exactly as this describes?

"I select Sketch drawing then select the plane, but no Sketch menu appears."

And is there any particular reason, related to the missing menu, that you are posting about your full C drive? Normally when a hard drive is full it's best to clean it up, move data to another location, or install applications to another location. Fusion does not allow installation in any drive other than C, as @jhackney1972 is kind enough to point out.

I am embarassed and have to live with the shame. If I double click on a sketch the menu actually will appear. Sorry for the trouble. I'm just a newbee...

And for the installation - thanks for the explanation 😊. I would still prefer to know where the data was placed, as I have installed an extra E:drive to relieve the C:drive (pretty full). I off cause accept the requirements for Fusion360 and have allready moved/reinstalled many programs to the E:drive. I intend to mark the "accept Icon" - if I could find it 😓
