Problem - Data Panel is inconsistent with A360

This is a repost of previous posting which was incorrectly on the Design-Validate forum.

It could best be deleted from there.

After attempting to upload several designs from external sources (gradCAD and others), I find that for (at least) one of my folders, the Data Panel is inconsistent with A360 (the browser variant of Fusion 360 which I generally do not use).

For the folder concerned, there is only one design showing, whereas for A360 there are several.

Refer the following 2 screen prints:

I have tried all that is suggested in the following 3 threads, without success (i.e., the problem remains):

Projects, folders, or files are missing from Fusion 360
<A href="https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Projects-Missing-from-Fusion-360.html" target="_blank" to do a manual reset of the Data Panel in Fusion 360

Data Panel does not function in Fusion 360
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Data-Panel-does-not-function-in-Fusion-360.html

This problem arose as I was trying to find CAD models for panel cutouts for D-connectors (9-pin, 25-pin, etc.).
After some searching, I found what seemed to be what I was looking for.
However, .sldlfp and .sldblk files proved troublesome to use.

When attempting to Upload from the Data Panel, the "uploaded" designs were seen with the folder-like icon rather than a preview of the design.
When I clicked on the icon, the A360 window opened up, whilst a new design was not opened in the Fusion 360 programme that I normally use.

Although showing in A360, I do not understand what, if anything, can be done with them there.

Subsequently, they are not seen in the Data Panel.

Two examples I tried are the following:

.sldlfp
https://www.norcomp.net/dsub-panel-cutouts

.sldblk
https://grabcad.com/library/d-sub-panel-cut-out-blocks-for-solidworks-1/files
D SUB Panel Cut Out "Blocks" for SolidWorks
DSUB25 STD_44 HD_FRT MOUNT_PANEL CUTOUT.SLDBLK

I do not know whether my problems are related or not to these attempted uploads of .sldlfp/ .sldblk files.
Maybe that problem is a separate subject?!

All I was hoping to obtain were 2D sketches that I could use to extrude holes in an aluminium panel to fit D-connectors.

Hello,

You are correct - there are two projects with the same name 'Electronics' - I don't know how that situation arose!

Since this situation arose, I had been nervous about using Fusion with my other existing work since it seemed that my work was "going missing"!

So I am glad for your support leading to the realisation that there are two projects with the same name!
It seems somewhat surprising that this situation can arise - clearly it is incorrect to consider "projects" as sort of folders or directories.

In the Fusion programme itself, I have such as:
NorComp Panel Cutouts D-SUB Single - Front Mount.sldlfp

That shows as a sort of 3D shaded yellow box rather than as a preview.

When I double click on it, the A360 web-based window opens rather than opening in Fusion 360 itself.

I obtained that from (previously I provided the incorrect link):
https://www.3dcontentcentral.com/search/secure/download-feature.aspx?id=683043

I am not sure what exactly you mean by "can you export the files from A360".
I don't see an "export" there but have used the "Download" (the resulting file is attached) which presumably results in the same file which I had previously obtained from 3dcontentcentral.com and Uploaded into the Fusion 360 data panel.

The "original" could, of course, be obtained directly from the 3dcontentcentral.com that I provide above.

Using Fusion 360 itself, I had Uploaded it with messages that indicated apparent success of the upload process - i.e., Fusion 360 appeared to accept/ understand the file format.
As I say, it shows in Fusion 360 itself.

I am puzzled why when double clicking on the 3D shaded yellow box the A360 window opens, rather than something happening in Fusion 360 itself.

As I recall, a similar behaviour resulted from use of the grabCAD .sldblk (for which I have previously provided the link to the file).

It has proved surprisingly difficult to find useable CAD models for cutouts of the popular D-connectors!
I was looking for the cutout models rather than the connectors themselves.
A 2D sketch is what is required so that I can "punch" holes in a panel by a simple extrude.
The 2D sketches I did find were of dubious quality/ accuracy.

Best Regards,
Douglas

.sldfp files cannot be opened in Fusion. Those are solidworks file types and will have to be converted in some way in order to open them in Fusion.
