Hi @Anonymous,

I assume that a local sim solve fails for any (simple) model, not only just the model you attached.

If so, it may be the same issue that the NASTRANSolver download failed and Fusion cannot find it on your machine.

Do you have the solver on disk to see if the on-demand download failed? It would be in a location like: MacHD/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/webdeploy/production/<GUID>/Frameworks/NASTRANSolver.

I've tried the scenario where there is a pending Fusion update (the new version was downloading or has been downloaded) then we run the local solve, which will download the Nastran solver. The local solve won't work until you restart Fusion to use the new version that is waiting. After restart, I could local solve your setup via Mac Catalina 10.15.1. Is this the same version you're running?

If you still cannot local solve after restarting Fusion, I would give a re-install one more shot. But, after uninstalling, try running FusionCleaner for MacOS before re-installing.

The the solver download still fails, please attach the webdeploystreamer.log (Help pull-down -> Support and Diagnostics -> Diagnostic Log Files)

Until we get can to the bottom of this, you can unzip the attached to create the folder + files in location specified above to get local solve running on your machine again.

I'll notify the UI team about the "Orbit function no longer worked with Shift-Two-finger-drag" it may be a known issue.

Best regards,

Hi, I've got this exact problem which is mentioned a couple of times in the Forums, but the only solution offered seemed to be to re-install. I've just today updated from Legacy to subscribed and this problem has only started happening since the upgrade. Simulation works fine On Cloud, just not locally the way it had always worked. I went through the Manual Uninstall and Re-Install and noted a couple of changes; video re-fresh rate was back to what it had been with Legacy (initial use with upgrade was slow), and the Orbit function no longer worked with Shift-Two-finger-drag. I have 82GB of space on my 512GB SSD on my MacBook Pro 13" 2018.

Any ideas?
