The Start Point in Pattern on Path is behaving very strangely.

I thought it would just offset the starting point of the copies but it changes the entires shape of the pattern curve. And changing the value from "1.0" to "1" makes the copies be repeated in the opposite direction!?!

Can anybody reproduce this / is there a way to make it work?

Would be great to have the start point as an absolute value btw.

Thanks for taking a look, I've spent half my Sunday trying to get this simple thing to work.. (I mean just the Pattern on Path, not taking starting point into account.)

The center of your seed geometry (the circle) should coincide with either the start, or the end of the path you are patterning on.

It is best not to pattern in sketches.

If you look at my screenshots above that was how I tried first.

What do you mean by not to pattern in sketches? This is in the solid workspace. Pattern on Path is not available in Sketches (unfortunately).
