Good idea on the square pipe. I just realized that I didn't need to make all the unnecessary planes and axis either, you just need to use the XZ plane for the rest of the sketches.

I have a Torus shape with som holes in it and i want to have lines that are extrude/cut between them about 1 mm deep or so and i have not succeeded to make so.

I have med the holes by making one extrude of a hole and then circular patterns to get the amount i want to have.

But when i do the same and to a sketch with the lines an cut from object it looks okej but when doing the circular pattern it either will not do it due to problem or it becomes wierd.

Any suggestion how to do it?

@Anonymous - not sure what is "weird" about this pattern, it looks correct to me. But, there are a couple of optimizations you can make to make this more efficient. You can do it in 2 pattern features, not 3, and if you use Optimized instead of Adjust, it will be much faster:

screencast: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/04c50763-5e3e-4ca6-9254-0624faf48262

(screencast embedding is fiddly these days, I'll post again with the screencast embedded)

Here is a start for you, the radial grooves were easy, the horizontal grooves are not. There might be a better way though. I recommend finishing the top half and then cut off the bottom and then mirror the top to finish the bottom. Basically I made an axis through the hole, used a plane at an angle of the axis, sketched the groove, offset a plane to the center of the groove, sketched a circle on the plane and swept the groove profile around the circle.

I got to the same point - got the radial grooves, and then was scratching my head for the horizontal grooves.

The one difference for me was I used Pipe for the groove - one less sketch. I used a square profile in Pipe, assuming the desired result was a square groove.

After sleeping on it, I figured out a faster way of doing the grooves. The timeline after the group is what I came up with to speed up the process.

What is the torus for?

Sweet i will look into that.

It to make a toridal Go board game. To be able to have a Go board game without borders. Not sure if it will be good in reality 😛
