Hi,

I am trying to make a spline that follows the outer form of my helmet. Afterwards I will choose Create/Pipe and select the spline as the path. Doing this I will make "vent-holes" in my helmet.

The problem is, that when I make the spline, looking from the Right view, it looks ok. But when I then rotate a bit, I can see the spline is all over the place.

How can I make the spline, so that it follows the outer form of the helmet body ?

Any advice is highly appreciated, thanks :))

Ola

For a planar sketch,

Create Section Sketch.

Edit Section Sketch and Create > Fit Curves to section, Select curves or spline.

For a 3d sketch, Project > Include 3d Geometry, select the curve points you want,

Hide the body and join the dots.

Might help.
