you can use local export, if the design is self-contained:

make sure that the export type is set to "F3D":

Also, the Share a Public Link should work fine. Please try it.

So I redrew my project after I received good honest critiques from techs on the forum with more experience then me. Been at it all day. So two things popped for me. One model orientation. That little cube in the corner is showing Z in the incorrect orientation. How do you reset that????? Then I want to export my new drawing but when I go to export to my desktop it won't show up. Is this a new bug. I have been able to export in the past.

A long day and I want to show all of you my new drawing.

thanks

Arrange the window, so the you are looking face on to the way you want the Front to be.

Right Click the cube, in the menu, you get a reset option, select Front.

In preferences you can have Z or Y up, but would not change this and previous models.

Drawing - prepared for 2d paper printing.

Model - Your Object you have modelled.

Export a model (file) to hard drive is a little lower down the menu now.

thanks for the suggestions. Here's my problem it took me a good part of the day to make a simple drawing and I found out that the Z orientation was not correct. I found that out when I went into manufacturing mode. I could not change Z axis. I did what you explained to now the cube and axis are correct. But I have a model in another file that I would like to import into the new Z axis orientation. Can I do this?? Tell me I don't have to redraw that model in the new window with the correct Axis.

thank you

When importing, you are given a move triad to position, precisely.

Keep moving aligning rotating until you have it right, then Ok.

Manufacture allows you to make a new Z up, independent of the modelling section.

There are a couple of ways to deal with this. First: You can rotate the model in the Design workspace so that "up" aligns with the Z axis. Second: in CAM, you can override the default model orientation to tell the setup that Y is "up", which will then map all operations so that Z to the machine is Y in the model. Then, set Z as your default "up" so that future designs will be oriented the correct way.

If you share your model here, someone will show you how to do this.

Thank you for taking the time to show me the proper use of F360. I have created a model in design and I would like to send it to you. I'm trying to share it, I'm trying to Export it which is what I've always done and I'm having no success. I'm sure it's me and not the machine. Question I'm in setup and creating a cutting path. I'm getting a yellow sign saying no model is selected! That has never happened to me before. Just for curiosity, I've automaticity received an update to my program. Can there be bugs??

Thank you very much for your time and patience

I have figured out the problem with model not selected in Manufacturing mode.

Thank you very much for taking the time with me. I appreciate you input and patience.

I still can't save the file as a *.f3d file and I'm not sure why. I did this operation two days ago but I can't today.

thank you again

Windows or Mac?

Screenshots of what you see on your screen.

(Windows Snipping tool works good on Windows machine, I am sure Mas has something similar for grabbing screen capture images.)

There is also the free Autodesk Screencast Recorder as shown in my previous response.

If you have external references - it might be best to simply provide public link to the project as you have done.
