AVI is the only format available to save animation

When I try to save an exploded view on animation the only format is the AVI, but when I try to save with him the the piece stay still and the parts run away in the movie (the camera view don't change).

I don't know how or why, but in this time the AVI format did work very well...

I want to know why I can't save on MP4 yet, but anyway It works.
