If you double click the hatch you get options for different hatch patterns and scale. Only way I can see to flip a section is use rotate then reposition the view and maybe edit the section line points.

After rotate you can select the section line and move the end points if needed.

Good Morning folks,

I need to add a hatch and maybe some line work to the drawing below for clarity.

I think the lines can me driven by the model, but what about a simple hatch to highlight a part or portion of a part.

Thank you

no drawing tools in the 2d drawings workspace.

For a hatch just add a section through the part you need to show hatched, you can have the base view off the sheet if you don't want it in the drawing. Only way to add lines is create a sketch in the design workspace then make the sketch visible in the 2d drawing, don't forget to save the design after adding the sketch so the drawing updates.

Thank you, that worked like a charm (not too bad of a "work around") I appreciate that all the information stays TRUE to the model and that it is not just a 2D graphic that needs to be coordinated later.

If I draw my section to cut a certain way, can I "flip it" ?

Can I change the hatch of cut items ?

Here is my result, just what I was looking for now. Thank you

Another option that might work for you is add an appearance to the part in the design workspace then use a shaded view in the 2d drawing.

Design.

2D Drawing with shaded view.
