I had the same issue with my MSI laptop, and its a 2019 model as well. In fact its the only time I have had problem with anything on it. I uninstalled, and ran the Fusion360 clean file, after that did a fresh install and was good to go. This happened to my today 4/19/2020 So not sure what happened, but that worked.

Hi Fusion community,

When ever I open fusion 360, it lodes just fine. But as soon as I delete the recovery file popup, and try to start working, fusion 360 stops responding. After that, the program stays like that indefinitely. I don't get that fusion crash report thing, and fusion doesn't close.

What I have done to try to fix it:

Updated my graphics drivers

Deleted and re-download fusion (Like 3 times)

Some other info:

I have been using fusion for about 10 months.

I have an educational licence

I was working on a heavily used project, collaborated between me and one other person who also has an educational licence, when fusion started doing this. (I think he was also working on the project, but not in the same file.)

Blow is some information on my computer and 2 pictures of the scenario with annotations.

My computer is a MSI GS65 Stealth (laptop), from 2019.

Prosesser: Intel 8th Gen Core i7-8750H.

Grapics card: RTX 2060.

Memory: 16Gb

Vidoe Memory: 6GB

Storage 512Gb SSD

I should note that I am using a wireless mouse and keyboard + a second screen

Thanks for the help!

Yeah...

The whole thing is a bit odd. I did the clean uninstall yesterday, and it didn't fix it, but today, when I tried to open fusion without my secondary esplanade the program worked. I don't think it was the display, but it might have been.

Anyway, I am glad that fusion is working again!

I have also run into this problem starting today (4/22/2020) after allowing the latest update to install. (I hadn't used Fusion 360 for a few weeks). I am using an MSI GP63 by the way. I reinstalled Fusion and updated my Nvidia drivers but that made no difference with the problem. I did not do the clean uninstall though. I am also running a secondary display.

I have now figured out that Fusion will run fine as long as I open it and run it on the primary notebook display. If it attempts to open on the secondary display it will only run for a few seconds before coming unresponsive. I have also found that I can move Fusion over to the secondary display after it has had a chance to open and run for a while on the primary display.
