+1 - I was wondering about this too... When I load a canvas/reference image that is large, and zoom in to align it, the manipulator stays in the center of the image, and is out of frame (as shown above)... It would be great if you could move the manipulator independent of the image, or there was an option where you can make it always visible in the viewport. Is anyone aware of how I can do this?

I'm a newbee in using Fusion 360 and have created some designs with my limited skills. The manipulator is nice but not dynamic enough, When I want to manipulate and zoom in a sketch,to place a SVG the manipulator wanders of, out of sight. Maybe I've missed an option somewhere in the settings. It would be nice if the manipulator follow the mouse action and adapts its size accordingly too. Thanks

Hi,

This is an example loading a SVG. I want the center of the star being alligned with the origin. When I zoom in the manipulator disappears so i can't move the SVG. It would be nice if the manipulator could hoover freely and put it where you want it. As I said i'm a noob. Sure there are many other solutions.

When you originally place an image, I used an SVG, the manipulator is hooked to the image according to the original poster location and cannot be repositioned with respect to the image. What you need to do is place it and then reselect the image or sketch using the Move/Copy command. This command has the ability to reposition the manipulator with respect to the image as many times as you desire. In the case of a SVG file, it comes in with a full Fixed sketch constraint that has to be removed to move it in the sketch.
