Dimension Depending is moving in the wrong direction

If have a strange behavior. If i set a dimension on a existing sketch the dimensions moving in the wrong direction. I dont see the reason and because of the depentions i cant move it in the right direction anymore. How i am able to solve the problem or what i am doing wrong. The result is calculation right but not my itention. How i can force the line going in the itented direction.

I think i found the solution by my self. I can fix points. So they unable to move. If i fix the right points the direction of the dimension is moving in the right direction. Please answer if there are any other solutions.

Edit: Its only a temporary solution. If i lose the fix, all following makings of dimensions are doing the same effect.

I have seen this behavior frequently in Fusion 360.

File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here so that @jeff_strater has another example.

Thx, for the answers. If i am export the single part the problem disapears. The problem is only there if i being open the sketch within the construction. I think its an problem with a dependency with an other part of the construction. I will provide the whole construction. One of the problem is within the sketch of "MonsterMittelDeckelLinks" Part. Try to change the dimention 122mm.

another newbie question. I'm having the same issue. I want the line below the red arrow to move down in the dimension setting but the bottom line moves up.

What am I doing wrong? 🙄

Hi,

1. create a relation to the projection (magenta) or create one to the body edge.

2. Bring the two vertices to the same height.

I've started the entire thing over about 6 times to finally get to where I will be starting the lid again..

Well I managed to get past that issue on attempt #2..

then this happened. I think I figured out why..the origin is on the very edge of the feature and it should be in the center.

Can I move the feather to accomplish that?

I "think" I know what the problem is, I just don't know how to fix it.
In Lar's video his origin is in the middle of the lid. Mine is off to the side.

thank you for taking the time to do that.

I managed to get it in the right spot eventually using the mid plane tool but I will try it this way as well...a guy can't have to many options. 🙂
I managed to do this project tonite as well...
I must say I'm having a lot of fun learning how to use this program..
