extrude problem (weird/buggy surface)

Before extrudeafter extrude

before and after the extrude command.

So i made my sketch on a surface, and when i extrude that piece it just goes weird.
when i export is as a .stl file its even worse.

this looks like a graphics problem. Can you share your model here? We have seen a few of these, and are trying to collect test designs to help us fix it.

its the one corner that keeps happening but when i export it to a .stl it looks like this.

I'm having some trouble reproducing the problem. Perhaps I am not doing the exact same extrude here. When I try to extrude from sketch8, Fusion defaults to a new body (which is strange itself), but if I switch over to Join, it seems to work OK for me. Perhaps I am not doing the exact same extrude, though. Sorry to bother, but can you share the model that has this extrude already in it? Thanks.

One point here: the reason that STL export shows this problem as well is that STL export uses the graphics facets for the mesh facets. So, any problem with the graphics will also show up in STL.

Another thing to try is to change the "display detail" of this body:

then, try some of the "fixed" settings - usually one of those will make the issue disappear:

Thanks, @maarten.vanhoorne - I was trying to extrude the circle!!! I was able to work around it by choosing "medium" as the level of detail. I've found that there is not a lot of consistency here - sometimes "high" works, sometimes "low" works... The other workaround (which I don't like but is usually reliable) is to use Split Face to introduce an arbitrary edge into the face - this is usually enough to force a difference faceting scheme that fixes the problem:

here is the screencast of using Medium LOD to also work around the problem. As I said, we are really trying to fix these problems, so this model helps us do that - thanks for sharing it
