topic Cannot select face edge for simple offset. New 360 interface issue? in Fusion Support Forum

Hello, I have tried to find an answer for this simple question without success. I am trying to learn the "new" interface after leaving in frustration last year. This used to be simple and now I cannot find a way to do it without a lot of extra steps.

I created a simple rectangle and used press/pull to give it dimension. I click on the top face, create sketch, open the offset tool, and at this point I want to select the edge of the face. Nothing is "clickable"

Downloaded and installed Screencast, took a vid, uploaded it, and now it shows as pending in my dashboard for hours. I will add it here if it ever gets processed. should be at https://autode.sk/2Xe6gYK

Check this setting in your Preferences. If you are in the middle of a sketch when you do it, get out of it and start a new one to make have it take effect.

Thank you. I did check that option and had to toggle it to the on position. I did not exit the project however. After reading your reply I opened the program again and checked the state of the option. It was still selected and now the behavior is as expected.

Thank You so much. I am getting pretty frustrated with the new interface but helpful folks like you might make the huge relearning process bearable.

Joe B
