Helical Stair Rail

I admit to being a bit stumped...I have two straight stair rails meeting at a landing. The stair rails are approaching each other at approximately 86 degrees. I need to make the stair rails connect to each other with a sweeping curve.

So far the closest i have come is using the sweeping tool but the profile becomes twisted and distorted and does not line up to both rails.

I feel like what i am trying to do should be possible but i am missing something.

Please attach your model. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

From your very "lacking" model, I pulled a cross-section of your railing and then created an example corner sweep using a coil. It is by no means a good representation of your railing as it was extremely difficult to even find your railing in your model, much less get a good cross-section sketch but I hope you get the idea. The Coil is created to the railing corner specifications and then you would continue with the straight sections. This is just an example of how to get the sweep around a corner. Note the Sweep command is using a Guide Surface which is the Origin X-Y plane. Model is attached.

Thank you for your reply. I am sorry for the lacking model but it is what i was given to work from. I see the steps you took to generate the helical rail. I am currently attempting to apply what you have shown me to my model. Will let you know how it works out.

Thank you once again for your help. I was not able to figure out how to make the coil line up exactly where i wanted it to but I eventually just decided to produce the part off to the side, then move and rotate it into place. If there is an easy way to line up the coil to pre existing features i would be delighted to hear it but otherwise than you for your time and patience in helping me solve my problem.
