Hi - I have made the attached locomotive boiler, The chimney base I created using a template. But when I print this part is removed from the output.

I have attached the Fusion file and the shapeway picture.

Any help will be gratefully received.....

Hello-

You attached an stl file (which isn't the native Fusion 360 file).

Can you export out as an f3d and attach it here? Then I should be able to see what is going on.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I part solved the problem as I reduced the print refinement. But now I have a different problem.

The boiler and the smokebox are drawn and then assembled but for some reason when i send the file to Shapeway the very end of the boiler is missing and replaced by an airgap between the boiler and the smokebox.

I have attached the export and a Shapeway screen shot, you can see the gap on the right hand side between the smokebox rivets and the boiler.

Thank you!!

Any help would be appreciated. I am relatively new to Fusion so sorry if i am making silly mistakes

I'm having a hard time seeing what's "wrong" in the Shapeways image you attached.

However, thank you for attaching the Fusion File.

If you are sending this out to be 3D printed, I would recommend that you "combine" all of the models together into one model. Looking at a section analysis of your design, you have overlapping models that could be confusing Shapeways automated analysis...

Go to Modify--->Combine. Then pick the Target Body(the boiler), then for the Tool Bodies, you could select everything else and make sure the operation is set to Join.

Give that a try and see if that makes a difference.
