topic Educational account access simulations in Fusion Support Forum

So I have an educational account and I need to run simulations for weight saving on fusion 360 for class. However, it is requiring me to have 'cloud credits' to run these simulations. Is there any way to get around this as it feels very money grabbing especially considering that the educational account is advertised as every feature free for students.

I am completely ok with running simulations locally even if it takes a while but it isn't even giving me this option.

Hi @bowdenethan9,

Could you check if you have the "Education" account active for Simulation tasks?

Username pull-down (upper right corner of Fusion) > Preferences > Tokens & Cloud Credits

If you don't see the "Education" account in Preferences, could you check Help > About, and verify it displays "Active Plan: Student"?

Best regards,

Glad you're up and solving now @bowdenethan9, thank you for confirming it.

I'll bring this behavior to the attention of our Engineering team (ticket FUS-171056 is now logged).
