Yep, true. But the object in question is part of a helix and the technique used to great the geometry is needlessly complicated. A sweep with a twist along the central axis of the cylinder is all it takes to create this.

Hi

Thanks for posting. I can see you're using a guide rail. which is not exactly finishes along to the end point of the path. I think that is making a problem.

thanks for your reply:
I have actually moved the sweep along numerous points of the guide rail ( to the full end, and partial distances etc) , I keep getting the same or similar errors.

I will have to save/attach the .f3d file when I return home... its saved on my computer, not the Autodesk cloud.

I want to respond 'no' to the question 'fully defined' however. ( I am obviously quite new to Fusion 360. )

The warning for the sweep is - for information - can be problematic, in your case not.

You have bigger fish to fry,

The sketch with the profile, has lost projections from somewhere.

Then the sweep is using the lost projections.

To make your blade you do not need guide rail, just the missing path sketch (Axis line of shaft) and twist angle,

You also have two move operations earlier, (that should be avoided), when the extrude can be edited to become the last position.

I have edited the file, place a dimension on my two sketches, for the accuracy you need.

Might help....
