Thanks for pointing that out a second time. I will use that next time.

The original beam has a flat landing so that's what I modeled. At this point the radius has caused such trouble I will instead just leave the corners square.

I might make another demo copy of this problem to see if there is a way to do it with the simple models I have made.

I'm a newb and I'm making some kind of basic mistake I can't figure out. When I dimension some copied sketch elements they invert and become pretzles. How do I avoid that?

https://a360.co/30qAgSJ

Add detail,

constrain it as desired,

dimension it, when fully constrained

add more articles.

Might help....

Hi,

1. replace these 2 radii with only 1

2. remove some restrictions where appropriate

günther

That is totally the root cause. Thanks. I see a tiny line segment which I assumed would work. I'm redrawing all those radius on all the sketches now to fix that issue.

After fixing/adjusting the next sketch element the problem repeated. I think the use of a radius messes up the parametric relationship. I will fix this design entirely then make a stand alone demo and try to report it as a bug.

Hi,

Note: It is not a good idea to create 2 radii in such a case.

Try it like I show it in the GIF.

> Start a normal line, drag it to the side and connect it to the opposite point

günther
