I was getting weird and poor simulation results with high stress concentrations when using Bolt Connectors in a Static Stress Simulation. I figured out the bolt connectors where pulling only along an edge despite selecting a face and which edge (top or bottom) seems random. The first picture shows how the face is selected for the thread hole. Only after reopening the Edit Connect by hitting OK, than Edit Connector can we see only an edge is used either the top or bottom edge of the face selected, shown in the other 2 photos below.

Face selected for threadsTop edge used

Bottom Edge used

You can see below how this concentrates the stress.

Stress when top edge used

Stress when bottom edge used

Maybe it's an intentional simplification and not a true "bug" but it makes Bolt Connectors useless as a tool in Simulations to me. This caused a lot of confusion and means the "Bolt Length" variable is pointless. Has anyone else found Bolt Connectors to work better for them?
