I have modelled a Arm shield as a Prop and I want to 3d Print it, But it is in Surface mode, I tried to thicken it but it doesn't work. What should I do to give it mass? And 3D print it?

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting. The model has some attempt of blending surfaces. And those are not done well. So, it can't use thicken command. Because thicken makes an offset of the surface and make it closed solid afterwards. I could fix the issue but you are using Fusion 360 in non parametric mode. So, I cant edit the operations.

So, for quick fix, I created a hollow solid by using lofted cut. It is not in perfect state, but you can 3d print it anyway.

Also, There is a closed solid version in the attachment. Check if you are looking for which one.

Thanks

Hi,

Register „Surface“ > „Thicken“. Use „Stitch“ before if you have several faces.

günther

@Anonymous

I patched the open areas then used stitched all the surface to make solid.
