Downloaded the August update today, now whenever I select a pattern, my memory gets maxed out and Fusion effectively crashes. It's not even a complex pattern, just 12 instances of 2D toolpaths.

16GB Ram,

I7-9600K CPU

Radon RX580, 8GB VRAM

IPS feature flag is turned off so it shouldn't be causing this. Not sure of the reason, please help! Trying to get in production here.

I did a test, opened the file with previous software version on my Macbook, no problems. Updated fusion, now I get the same problem on my Macbook.

So the issue seems to be cause by the update.

Screencast, prior to update: https://autode.sk/33sWab6

Screencast, after update: https://autode.sk/31oePlF

Thank you for alerting us to this problem - we apologise for the inconvenience it has caused. We understand the problem, are actively working on a fix, and endeavour to get it into the August Hot Fix 1 release.

Thanks @peter.lockyer, when can we expect this update?

I'm sure you understand, this is mission critical stuff for us - not just making trinkets in my garage. I love the Fusion mission but I really wish the Fusion team would do more testing before releasing software updates. I don't feel like a problem like this would have been hard to catch, as it crashes almost every single one of my production CAM files.

I found a sorta workaround. In my case I had 3 nested patterns. If I open up the top level by clicking the triangle I can generate the gcode. Then I would unnest my bottom level pattern and change the parameter. Then I could renest the other patterns back. At which point if I right clicked on my setup I could select the post process gcode and get the code out. If at anytime I actually left clicked any of the actual patterns it would freeze. To me it seems a problem with their rendering code, just a guess.

Cheers.

Good news - according to the support team, they've identified the issue and it's going to roll out in a patch on Tuesday 8/11.

Pete
