I first created this design and ended up with 5 sketches. Which would not allow me to extrude any surface. So

I redrew the design on one sketch. When done I still could not extrude because of some of the lines are blue. Not

sure how to get them to turn blue.

I've included the file.

You should always strive to make your sketches fully constrained but Fusion 360 DOES NOT require it in order to do an extrusion. You have an open profile at the point indicated. Fix that and it will extrude.

You have some poor sketching in this profile in other places also.

Take a look at my short Screencast to help understand why a sketch does not change color. I use a different color scheme than you do so my unconstrained sketches are light blue and constrained are white. Also I invite you to take a look at one of my blog articles which also contains a linked video on sketching in Fusion 360.

ks to everyone that responded. After watching a few of Arnold Rowntree youtube videos parts 1-3 of 16. I noticed that I was going about this project all wrong. I was trying to create the fillets in the sketch rather than the solid. Also I

learned to just basically draw out the share and use the sketch dimension tool to get the correct dimensions. So it was fairly easy to create my model.

Though I must say that most of the youtube videos show the old style interface not the 2.0 version. This makes it difficult to follow some of the videos.

I posted my project so that you can see what I was trying to create. It is my third project created with fusion 360.
