If you are using Windows 10, which I assume you are, have you tried Task View to manage your Desktop. With Task View you can have multiple desktops and put email and any other applications on one and Fusion 360 on another and keep them far apart. You will have to switch to the Desktop with Fusion 360 to get it to come to the front.

Fusion 360 Window Forced to Front

Hello All,

Is there a way to stop F360 from forcing itself to be my active window? Sometimes I click something in Fusion and it has to have a long hard think about it, so I, being the time efficient little squirrel that I am, go to one of my other open pieces of software to do something else while I wait. I might be mid typing and suddenly: FUSION!!! Its finished thinking and is very jealous that I'm touching other software, so it pushes the other windows to the back and makes itself the active window. Now I have a half finished email and a dimension value of "nd regards, Tony" (yes, it does take me that long to realise).

Can this be changed or do I have to take out a restraining order on it?

Cheers,

Thank you @jhackney1972 I have been trying this the last few days, and although not what I wanted exactly it was a suitable work around....

... until Fusion managed to change my active desktop and force itself to the front. I think it was uploading a document, and when it finished it was so proud of itself it had to show me. Its better on a separate desktop for sure, but still annoying.

Its something colleagues have mentioned to me before so maybe Fusion might want to look into changing this?
