I had a similar problem and I solved it by going to the master component edit environment and dragging the feature I wanted to be effected before the feature that I wanted to effect it in the timeline. If you're working in the component environment you'll only see features created within that environment.

Also, I second that you should upload the file you're working on or make a detailed screenshot annotation. It's unclear if some other unlinking may have occurred etc..

In a multi component assembly file, I had an existing extrude cut based on a sketch (both in the top level of the assembly). Originally it was only modifying one component, but then the design changed and I wanted it to affect two components. I modified the extrude feature to cut them both (this was completed successfully), but the rectangular pattern doesn't update to impact both components.

I have tried clearing the feature selection from the pattern settings window and selecting the feature again- same result.

I can delete the pattern and recreate it, but I have several instances for this change and feel the result should update based on the modification to the original feature or at least when the feature is cleared and then selected again.

Is there a known solution for this?

To get any added feature to appear in an assembly pattern, it must be added "before" the pattern in the timeline. You did not post any screen captures or your assembly so I am not quite clear about the two components feature. The rule is true in any case, the added feature must be before the pattern or it will not propagate. If I missed your question please clarify and attach you model or at least some graphics to support your need.

Yup, I know the timeline order requirement. Attached are a couple of screen grabs to hopefully help show what's happening. This isn't the first time I've run into this, the workaround is to delete the pattern and remake it, but it requires copying the inputs from the pattern window and has a higher probability for human error.

Cleared feature selection and selected the modified feature which includes the 2nd component in the "objects to cut" list<span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Changed distance for extrude/cut.

I have studied the screen capture but I am unable to see enough to understand your issue. Can you attach the model?
