Fusion 360 on the computer is the only programme that is not connecting to the internet. It is constantly notifying that it is "Working offline" even though the computer is online. Based on forum posts, Fusion has already been granted access through the Firewall.

I managed to access my team page through browser and selected a file to "Open in Desktop" which was able to download and update in my Fusion, but then it continued appearing offline. I created a new file and saved it, which ultimately uploaded at a random moment and then Fusion went back to offline. I am unable to "refresh" the team files and cannot see changes being made by others.

It seems that Fusion is randomly connecting and disconnecting but MOSTLY OFFLINE! 😞 I have reached out to Autodesk support but was guided to post here.

It sounds like your internet connectivity is not stable. This would explain why Fusion goes offline automatically and periodically will reconnect. Have you checked your internet connection, is it stable for browsing, etc.?

To troubleshoot, first restart your computer and see if the problem goes away.

Next, please read this recent forum post. Do you think the problem is the same for you? The latest response indicated the user had a proxy they didn't need, and their ISP was also causing issues.

Hi Phil! Thanks for the reply

From the link, I don't think there is any proxy on my computer and I am able to login into Fusion on the web browser. There are two 'hubs' in my account and for now my Desktop is frozen on my Teams page, and doesn't update the files (as it is offline). I cant switch to my personal hub either...

When I'm on the browser and I select a file to "open in Desktop", there is a bar at the top notifying me that I do not have Fusion360 installed - however Fusion 360 does launch in the background and then gets stuck loading. See attachment image 1

I am using an Educational Licence with university account but for some reason my Fsion360 doesn't display this at the top of the window. I'm not sure what ISP is but is this about the login? I cannot logout while offline but I know it is the same login through the profile image. Image 2

In general I am working from home so I am constantly online with all others apps, I'm not sure why Fusion specifically doesn't recognise the connection 😞

ISP: internet service provider. In that other post, the customer found their ISP was randomly going in/out, which is what you are describing if I'm reading it right. It sounds like Fusion is offline but sporadically gets online by itself. This would indicate Fusion does not find a stable internet connection, but keeps trying.

A couple more questions if you don't mind:

Did you restart your computer?

Can you show me a screen shot of the job status pop up when you click on the clock icon?

If you are still stuck offline, it would be good to see your log files. These are gathered with the tool found at Help > Support and Diagnostics > Diagnostic log files.

Hi Phil, sorry to reply the third time.

See attached images where I created a file of a cube, and it saved and appeared on the web browser. However my Fusion is still offline after this succeeds and team files are not updated (from the other users work)

It seems that saving the file prompts a connection but I cannot recall other peoples work. I can only delete the file through the web browser too.

There are a few other published solutions. If any of these help please let me know:

(deleting a cache file fixes it)

Email - did you change your email address in Fusion lately?

If neither of those are solutions we can dig deeper.

Hello Phil,

The AppData folder has been unticked as "Read Only" and all Cache files deleted to re-open Fusion.

When first opening, there is a message to indicate that there is no network connection, however it opens and is online! It looks quite good but cannot change team hubs (from single user to team page). This time if select a file from the Team in the browser, to "open in Desktop", the browser tells me Fusion is not installed, but Fusion reacts and tells me it will change team hub. This brings me the latest work of the team and I am still online 🙂

If I close and re-open Fusion, it goes back to offline as the problem of before. I have attached a new diagnostic log files folder if it is helpful for you.

I hope that sequence was clear... this means I will clear all cache files before opening Fusion?

Your logs show you have two accounts. One is a business hub and the other is personal.

The business account you own was last logged into on July 2.

Can you try logging into each of your accounts and see how Fusion behaves?

Here are a couple more things you can try:

Close Fusion and navigate to /users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Neutron Platform

Inside that folder, find and rename OfflineCache.xml

Keep Finder open to this location for now

Restart Fusion. If it fixed the problem, please let me know.
