Logout of Fusion
2. Close Fusion
3. In your task manager make sure that Fusion.exe is not running
4. Restart your machine
5. Now Start and login to Fusion

See if the same problem repeats?

This is the exact same behavior when trying to Save As Mesh (STL) and opening STEP files as I reported here (I believe the McMaster inserts as a STEP file):

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-support/save-as-mesh-lock-up-crash/td-p/13038969

I believe these are all related

I noticed a month or two ago that McMaster inserts freeze for ~30 seconds now where before they happened almost instantly - not sure what changed and mine always do eventually work, there's just an annoying delay and I often end up clicking the "download" button twice in case I missed it the first time. Not sure this is related to the OP's issue, but thought I'd mention it

Same result.

Another possible data point... whenever I try to Move a model, the "Move To" window gets stuck "Receiving data..."

And Renaming a model never completes with the data panel constantly refreshing. It seems like McMaster is downloading the file but then is not able to Insert it into Fusion.

Regarding your other data panel workflows like a rename for example, if you do the rename on Fusion team (the web), I assume it changes the name successfully?

Yes, the file is successfully downloaded to the Temp folder (with/without a pre-existing file in the folder), and then the freeze.

I've experienced no issues with the Web interface. Interestingly, a Web "rename" will send an update message to the PC, but that doesn't result in successfully updating the data panel on the PC:

{"message":[{"message":{"eventType":"LineagePropertiesChanged","lineageUrn":"urn:adsk.wipprod:dm.lineage:-2T1H9TQT6aAsDWdoClPGQ","operationType":"Rename","projectDmid":"a360prod:group:425944191","branch":"master","branchUrn":"","parentFolderUrn":"urn:adsk.wipprod:fs.folder:co.PMdcyVEWSamwV9zcpPIAWg","name":"19 inch trayy","modifiedBy":"AAVVLZN5TAFL","modifiedTime":"2024-10-04T12:16:22+0000","eventId":"22682000-4bd7-46df-804b-a002db3f691b","sourceServiceTrackingId":"a360_prod_ip-10-8-98-34.ec2.internal_11d_3d619823d92_10d-Clone-1.WIP-d7425e30-bb52-4699-aa8f-6a6f57f0f65c"}}],"channelStatus":["available"]}
20241004T051623 I .17816 Collaboration Notification: processed eventType[Rename] lineageUrn[urn:adsk.wipprod:dm.lineage:-2T1H9TQT6aAsDWdoClPGQ] eventTime[-1] userId[]

Close Fusion

Uninstall Fusion, then:

Go to C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\ DELETE folder Autodesk\

Delete your Fusion launcher shortcut

Download the installer again

Now install

The latest update (20476) does NOT fix this bug, nor any of the other bugs I've posted to over the past couple of weeks. 😞
