Cannot stop mouse movement rotating the model

Fusion 360 has just updated to the latest version.

I have two tabs open, a model and a drawing of it. I was editing the drawing. When I clicked back in the model tab and started rotating the model, I found I couldn't stop. I tried pressing ESC, right-clicking etc - no good, whenever I move the mouse the model spins. Eventually I closed the tab, without saving; when I re-opened the model the mouse started working OK again.

I have the same problem

1. put mouse over cube in the corner

2. right click on the cube then move the cube around

I have the same problem, it is a touch screen trigger error, I have a touch pad connected to my computer for sketches and when this glitch happens with fusion I have to turn on my touchpad, hold alt while moving around to stop spinning while moving my mouse cursor, and then release alt and turn off my touchpad.

I'll keep experimenting but there should be some combination of mouse buttons + alt/shift/ctrl/esc to enter and exit and there isn't a consistent solution because this is a bug with fusion.

I had the same problem. To resolve this, hold a corner of the view cube and drag it inward towards the middle. This solved the problem, at least in my case. To recreate this problem, hold the view cube and drag it outwards toward the edge of the screen.

Thanks! I deal with this issue all the time and pulling the corner of the cube to towards the center of my screen worked!

Mine does this all the time. My design just spins around and around out of control. I have to find the cursor and put it on the view cube and pull toward center of screen. Happens about every 5 minutes, very annoying!

For everyone experiencing this behavior:

Do you orbit:

Using the view cube (by dragging it).
Or by using hotkeys (shift + MMB)
Or by using the orbit command icon in the navigation bar (lower center of application)
What is your "pan zoom orbit" preference?
Do you use a regular mouse or trackpad?

These steps reliably recreate the issue:

Launch Fusion 360
Activate the orbit feature via the mouse button
Before releasing the mouse button, drag the mouse cursor over the browser tree
Release the mouse button
Result: Orbit feature is still active

This step reliably stops the issue:

1. Place mouse pointer on view cube

2. Drag the view cube towards the center of the screen.
