When I create a simple rectangle and place it using grid snaps I end up with actual dimensions that are ever so slightly off from the actual value. I'll use the tab key to cycle through the input fields, which look fine, so that I create a sketch dimension in the process.

However if I edit that dimension I see that it isn't a precise dimension, and Fusion placed the rectangle points off. Ever so slightly.

My grid pacing is set to a major grid spacing of 12", with minor spacing intervals of 12, so there is no reason for the snaps to not be exact.

This is one of those flaws that seems really minor when viewed in isolation, but causes major headaches later in the design process if one is using arrays or trying to snap to midpoints and finding everything ends up just a tiny bit off of what it should be in a perfect world.

Years of AutoCAD use has trained me to always type everything in by hand.

Was hoping Fusion would be smarter.

If you type in your dimensions by hand - they should be precise.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I suspect that you did not use Parametric (smart/driving) dimensions/constraints in AutoCAD and only used driven dimensions.
